The School Community Council is a state-required council made up of elected parent/guardian members, school employees, and the principal. At Wasatch, the SCC works together to support student learning, school improvement, safety, and family engagement.
The council reviews school goals, discusses academic progress and school needs, provides input on the School Improvement Plan, and helps make decisions about School LAND Trust funds.

SCC meetings are a meaningful way to stay informed and involved at Wasatch. Families hear updates about academics, safety, school programs, district information, budgets, and other topics that affect students and families.
Attending SCC is also a way to ask questions, share ideas, and help strengthen the Wasatch community.

Most SCC meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 4:00 PM in the Wasatch library, with a Zoom option when available.

Families can get involved by attending SCC meetings, reading meeting minutes, sharing questions or ideas, and considering service as an elected parent/guardian representative.
Parent/guardian members serve two-year terms and help represent the voices and perspectives of the Wasatch community.

Land Trust 2025-2026
School LAND Trust funds help Wasatch support student learning and school improvement goals. For the 2025–2026 school year, Wasatch received $63,016.62 in School LAND Trust funds.
These funds supported paraprofessionals who provided explicit, direct instruction in small-group settings based on student assessment data.

School Community Council Meetings
We invite you to attend the Wasatch Elementary SCC meetings to learn about our greatest academic needs, our School Improvement Plan, and help in the decision-making process for using LAND Trust funds. At Wasatch we also regularly discuss school safety, budgets, share District news, and talk about other important issues affecting our school. You have a voice! Together we can make a positive difference in the education of our children!
