Library Learning Center
Library Learning Center
The Wasatch Library Learning Center helps students grow as readers, researchers, creators, and curious learners. Our library is a welcoming space where students discover books, build information skills, explore digital resources, and develop a lifelong love of reading.
Students visit the library to check out books, learn research and media skills, use digital tools, and connect with stories that reflect their interests, identities, and imagination. The library also supports classroom learning by helping students find, evaluate, and use information in thoughtful ways.
Wasatch students have access to print books, online resources, the Utah Online Library, SORA, and the district library catalog. Families are encouraged to support reading at home by helping students read regularly, return library books on time, and talk about what they are learning.
For current library programs, reading challenges, and resources, please contact the library or check ParentSquare for updates.
2026-2027 Battle of the Books
The Battle of the Books is a district-wide reading challenge. Students (grades 4-6) who read at least 5 out of the 20 books will be able to participate in the school Battle of the Books competition in February 2027. Students will compete individually by answering multiple choice questions about the 20 assigned books. The more books you read, the better you'll do! The top four school winners will represent Wasatch, competing as a team during the district Battle of the Books in March 2027.
The Battle of the Books is a competition, but most importantly, it creates excitement about high quality children's literature. There are a variety of books, so everyone will find something that they like. The books can be found in the Elementary Battle of the Books collection on Sora. They are also available for checkout in our library. Happy Reading Wasatch STARS!
