Getting to Wasatch

Wasatch Elementary is located at the corner of R Street and South Temple in Salt Lake City. Our school sits just east of downtown and near the University of Utah, making Wasatch a convenient and connected place for many families.

Main Entrance

The main entrance is on R Street. Families, visitors, and volunteers should enter through the front doors and check in at the main office.

Parking

Street parking is available near the school. Please be courteous to our neighbors by keeping driveways, intersections, bus areas, and crosswalks clear.

Accessible Entrance

Wheelchair-accessible entry is available near the faculty parking lot on the northeast side of campus. Please contact the office at 801-578-8564 if you need assistance when arriving.

Drop-Off, Pick-Up, and Safe Walking Routes

Families can find details about arrival areas, dismissal routines, crossing guards, the South Temple tunnel, and school bus transportation on our Safe Walking Route page.

School Boundaries and Open Enrollment

Families can use the district Online School Locator to confirm their neighborhood elementary, middle, and high schools.

Families who live outside Wasatch boundaries may apply through Salt Lake City School District’s School Choice / Open Enrollment process when space is available.

Families may also use the district Open Enrollment Application to apply for a school outside their neighborhood boundaries. Before submitting an open enrollment application, families are encouraged to contact Wasatch to ask about current availability.
