Principals Message

Principal's Message

Hello Wasatch Community,

It is an honor to serve as principal of Wasatch Elementary. Wasatch is a remarkable school community with a proud tradition of academic excellence, creativity, student voice, family partnership, and care for every child.

I bring more than 25 years of experience in education, including work as an elementary teacher, literacy coach, assistant principal, and school leader. Throughout my career, I have been deeply committed to building strong relationships, supporting excellent teaching, and creating learning environments where every child feels known, valued, challenged, and supported.

At Wasatch, students grow as readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, artists, performers, thinkers, and friends. Our school brings together strong academics, rich fine arts opportunities, and a deep commitment to belonging. Whether students are explaining their thinking, creating artwork, performing, singing, solving problems, collaborating with classmates, or contributing to the school community, they continue to show what it means to be Wasatch Stars.

I believe schools are strongest when families, educators, and community members work together. Wasatch benefits from exceptional teachers and staff, involved families, an active PTA, a supportive School Community Council, strong arts partnerships, and a community that deeply values children and learning. Together, we help students feel confident, connected, capable, and excited to learn.

Outside of school, I enjoy reading, the arts, hiking Utah’s beautiful landscapes, spending time with the people I love, and occasionally nerding out about education over coffee.

Thank you for being part of the Wasatch community. I am grateful for the opportunity to support our students, families, and staff as we continue building on the strong legacy of Wasatch Elementary.

Warmly,
Tony Zani
